Mulhi Raajje (mulhiraajje.com) is a Maldivian news website. This page explains what information the website collects when you read it, comment, or send an udhaas, how we use that information, and the choices that you have.
What we collect
- When you read the site: to count readers, the site records the page address, the website that sent you, your type of device, and a code that changes every day. The code is made from your network address and browser details, so it can't identify you, and we don't store your IP address. The count uses no cookies, and it skips you if your browser sends Do Not Track. We keep these records for a limited time, normally 90 days.
- When you comment: your name, your email address if you give it, your comment, your IP address, and browser details. Comments appear only after our editors review them, and we publish only your name and comment.
- When you send an udhaas: your name, your role, your udhaas, and, if you add them, your phone number and other details. After review, we publish the udhaas with your name and role. We never publish your phone number or other details, and we use them only to check the udhaas.
- On your device: the site saves a few choices in your browser, such as dark mode, text size, your name for comments, and your island for the weather. They stay on your device and aren't sent to us.
Services we use
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. Cloudflare Turnstile may check the comment and udhaas forms to stop spam.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers and keeps technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be used to measure visits and to show ads, and Google may use cookies for them. See How Google uses information from sites.
- YouTube videos and social media posts in stories come from those services, which may collect information when they load or when you play them.
Each of these companies handles information under its own privacy policy.
Social media
We share our stories on Facebook, Telegram, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Our Facebook app only publishes our own stories to our Facebook Page. It doesn't collect information about Facebook users.
How we use information
We use information to run and protect the website, to count readers, to review comments and udhaas, and to contact you about your udhaas when needed. We don't sell your information. We share it only with the services on this page, or when the law requires it.
Your choices
